The development of stock markets in the US during the financial crisis

Abstract:

The financial market is one of the most dynamic system of world economies and it is important or forming of the national economy. Dynamic of financial markets are seen in changes and there are factors that (such as gross domestic product, inflation or depression) that infuences these changes. Bachelor thesis focuses on monitoring developments in stock markets during the US financial crisis. The primary objective is to analyze the US stock markets and their components, to create comparison and to evaluate its status before, during and after the financial crisis. The work is divided into three separate chapters. The first chapter focuses on defining the basic theoretical aspects of financial markets and the financial crisis. The second chapter analyses principles and functionality of the stock markets in the USS. Main goal is to provide a comprehensive analyse of the structure of these stock markets. For creating first two chapters were used theoretical-descriptive methods. The third chapter is a practical part that focuses to the development of stock markets and their components before, during and after the crisis. To create this chapter were used chronological, comparative and analytical methods.

Abstract:

Finančný trh predstavuje jeden z najdynamickejších systémov každej ekonomiky sveta a zohráva dôležitú úlohu pri formovaní národného hospodárstva. Dynamika finančných trhov sa prejavuje v ich neustálych zmenách a vplyv na ne majú premenné, akými sú napríklad hrubý domáci produkt, inflácia alebo kríza. Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá sledovaním vývoja akciových trhov v rámci amerického finančného trhu v čase krízy. Primárnym cieľom práce je analyzovať akciové trhy USA a ich jednotlivé komponenty, vytvoriť komparáciu a zhodnotiť ich stav pred, počas a po finančnej kríze. Práca je tematicky rozdelená na tri samostatné kapitoly. Prvá kapitola sa zameriava na definovanie základných teoretických aspektov finančných trhov a finančnej krízy. Druhá kapitola sleduje princípy a fungovanie akciových trhov v podmienkach USA. Cieľom je poskytnúť ucelený obraz o štruktúre týchto akciových trhov. Na vytvorenie prvých dvoch kapitol boli využité teoreticko-opisné metódy skúmania. Tretia kapitola predstavuje praktickú časť práce so zameraním sa na vývoj akciových trhov a ich komponentov pred, počas a po krízovom období. Na vytvorenie tejto kapitoly boli využité chronologické, komparatívne a analytické metódy skúmania.
