Již od počátku hudebního umění docházelo v kompozičním oboru k reflexím aktuálních témat společnosti. Jmenujme například velkou průmyslovou revoluci a Honnegerovu skladbu Pacific 271 inspirovanou parní lokomotivou. Since the beginnings of musical art, composers have been reflecting on the social topics of their time. We can mention the great industrial revolution and Honneger's composition inspired by the Pacific 271 steam locomotive.
