Abstract:
This PhD project focuses on the interplay of humor and paranoia and the merging of realities as a phenomenon that emerges in some instances of postmodern American fiction. Ultimately, it argues that this literary tendency represents a way of looking at paranoia that is productive, non-pathological, and positive.
