Agro-environmental security of the Czech Republic in conditions of global change

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá aktuálními hrozbami, které ohrožují Českou republiku v rámci klimatické změny. Teoretická část představuje popis environmentální bezpečnosti, včetně relevantních dokumentů a souvisejících pojmů. Dále se zabývá naturogenními hrozbami a jejich vlivem na bezpečnost českého zemědělství. Popisuje také mimořádné události, krizovou situaci a krizové stavy. Praktická část je zaměřena na vlastní analýzu hrozeb, která vychází z historických katastrofických událostí České republiky. Tato analýza je následně porovnávána nejen s oficiálními národními výsledky, ale také s výsledky studentské analýzy. Výsledky komparace ukázaly, že míra rizika je pro některé typy hrozeb srovnatelná. Avšak některé případy vykazují značně rozdílné výsledky, u kterých je zřejmý vliv klimatické změny vedoucí k častějšímu výskytu katastrofických událostí.

Abstract:

The master's thesis deals with current threats posed to the Czech Republic within the context of climate change. The theoretical part introduces the concept of environmental security, including relevant documents and related terms. It further examines natural threats and their impact on the security of Czech agriculture. Additionally, it describes extraordinary events, crisis situations, and states of emergency. The practical part focuses on the analysis of threats, based on historical catastrophic events in the Czech Republic. This analysis is subsequently compared not only with official national results but also with the results of student analysis. The results of the comparison showed that the risk level is comparable for some types of threats. However, some cases exhibit significantly different results, indicating the influence of climate change leading to more frequent occurrences of catastrophic events.
