Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá využíváním oltářů (motivujících grafik) obyvateli města Štětí. Digitální oltář funguje jako mystická zkratka k posílení se před těžkou směnou či nelehkou životní situací. Součástí práce je také nová skladba zmíněných oltářů, kdy samotní občané Štětí jsou postaveni do hlavních rolí těchto grafik se všemi eklektickými prvky světových náboženství a mystik. Štětínští, jejich těla a síla jsou totiž reálnější nežli nadpozemští avataři. Absence mytologie je předmětem mého zájmu, hledám střípky jakékoliv víry v běžných životech štětského obyvatelstva. Instalace také obsahuje malované obrazy pomocí akrylu a techniky airbrush, které mají důležitou roli v doplnění celé esence svaté místnosti a mohou pomoci dovyprávět mytologický příběh prostoru, stejně tak jako středový betonový oltář s keramickými soškami. V této textové části shrnu historické momenty, které možná stojí za absencí mytologie na Štětsku a prozkoumám všední životy obyvatel, kde se budu snažit najít jakkékoliv malé rituály a odkonky k mystice, či víře.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the utilization of altars (motivational graphics) by the residents of the town of Štětí. The digital altar functions as a mystical shortcut to strengthen oneself before a difficult shift or challenging life situation. Also included in the work is a new composition of these altars, wherein the citizens of Štětí are cast into the main roles of these graphics with all the eclectic elements of world religions and mysticism. The people of Štětí, their bodies, and strength are indeed more real than otherworldly avatars. The absence of mythology is the subject of my interest; I seek fragments of any faith in the everyday lives of the Štětí population. The installation also includes painted images using acrylic and airbrush techniques, which play an important role in complementing the entire essence of the sacred space and can help narrate the mythological story of the space, just like the central concrete altar with ceramic statues. In this textual section, I will summarize historical moments that may account for the absence of mythology in Štětí and explore the everyday lives of its inhabitants, where I will endeavor to find any small rituals and traces of mysticism or faith.
