Utilization of the Smart City Concept to Support the Development of Sustainable Transport in the Statutory City of Zlín

Abstract:

Každé město cílí na zvyšování ekonomické prosperity, a proto podniká aktivity podporující jeho konkurenceschopnost ve vztahu k ostatním městům. Indikátorem úspěšného města jsou spokojení obyvatelé a přilákání nových občanů, turistů a investorů. Klíčová oblast pro splnění spokojenosti všech zmíněných, je mít kvalitní, fungující a udržitelnou dopravní infrastrukturu. Úkolem této diplomové práce je využití konceptu Smart City ve statutárním městě Zlín. Kvalifikační práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část práce obsahuje definice konceptu Smart City, regionu a mobilního města. Dále se zabývá občanskou participací a regionálním rozvojem. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu současného stavu a základní rozvojové problémy dopravy ve městě Zlín. Na základě těchto analýz je vypracovaný návrh projektu pro implementaci konceptu Smart City.

Abstract:

Each city aims to increase economic prosperity and therefore undertakes activities that support its competitiveness in relation to other cities. Satisfied residents and attracting new citizens, tourists and investors are an indicator of a successful city. A key area for the satisfaction of all those mentioned is to have a quality, functioning and sustainable transport infrastructure. The goal of this diploma thesis is to use the concept of Smart City in the statutory city of Zlín. This thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part contains definitions of the concept Smart City, region and mobile city. It also deals with civic participation and regional development. The practical part contains an analysis of the current state and basic development problems of transport in the city of Zlín. Based on these analyses is prepared a project proposal for the implementation of the Smart City concept.
