Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce nese název: „Střet civilizací“. Konkrétně se zaměřím na střet islámu s křesťanstvím. Důvodem pro zvolení tématu je jeho aktuálnost. Práce je rozdělena do šesti kapitol. V první kapitole charakterizuji základní pojmy, které se prolínají celou diplomovou prací. V druhé kapitole věnuji pozornost zásadním informacím o islámské víře. Dále jako u islámu, zachycuji i základní fakta o křesťanství. Čtvrtá kapitola pojednává o střetu islámu s křesťanstvím v historických souvislostech konkrétně se zaměřuji na křížové výpravy. V páté kapitole jednotlivá náboženství v určitých oblastech srovnávám. Bohužel nábožensky motivovaný terorismus je v současné době na vzestupu, a právě terorismu je věnována poslední kapitola. Cílem mé práce je zjistit základní informace o obou náboženstvích a jistých okolnostech pramenících z jejich střetu, a alespoň v některých oblastech poukázat na jejich shodné i rozdílné znaky. A také zbavit, alespoň z části, čtenáře stereotypů a předsudků, které pramení z neúplných informací, jež nám jsou neustále prezentovány.

Abstract:

My thesis is named „the Conflict of the Civilizations“. In particular, I will focus on the conflict of Islam with Christianity. The reason of choosing this topic is its topicality. The thesis work is divided into six chapters. In the first chapter, I characterise the fundamental terms, appearing through the whole Thesis. In the second chapter, I pay attention to essential information about Islamic religion. Further, as in the case of Islam, I note the essential facts about Christian religion. The forth chapter focuses on the conflict in the historical context, particularly on the example of historical crusades. The fifth chapter compares specific areas of both religions. Unfortunately, the so called religious terrorism is on the rise, therefore the last chapter focuses right on religious terrorism. The goal of my thesis is to detect basic and essential information about both religions and about the consequences leading to their conflict, and (at least in some areas) to point out and highlight the common but also different characteristics. But also to rid the readers of stereotypes and prejudices that originate from uncomplete information, being permanently presented to us.
