Multidisciplinary Cooperation from the Occupational Therapist's Perspective in Pediatric Department

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou spolupráce členů multidisciplinárního týmu na dětském anesteziologickém a resuscitačním oddělení. Hlavním cílem je zmapovat situaci spolupráce jednotlivých členů multidisciplinárního týmu z pohledu ergoterapeuta, a to celé demonstrovat na konkrétním případu. . První kapitola se věnuje multidisciplinárnímu týmu ve zdravotnictví, jednotlivým členům tohoto týmu a jejich kompetencím. Další kapitola se zabývá ergoterapii v pediatrii, hrou a indikaci ergoterapie u různých diagnóz. Poslední kapitola popisuje dětské oddělení, poznatky o dětském anesteziologickém a resuscitačním oddělení a rehabilitace na tomto oddělení. Praktická část je postavena na kazuistice konkrétního případu a rozhovorech jednotlivých členů multidisciplinárního týmu. Cílem rozhovoru bylo zjistit, na jaké úrovni se nachází spolupráce na dětském anesteziologickém a resuscitačním oddělení ve Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava, jak probíhá komunikace v tomto týmu a také zda každý zdravotnický pracovník zná své kompetence a kompetence kolegů multidisciplinárního týmu. Kazuistika sloužila k poukázání, jak funguje spolupráce jednotlivých členů týmu na daném pracovišti.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of cooperation between the members of a multidisciplinary team at the Department of Paediatric Anesthesiology and Resuscitation. The main objective is to map the cooperation between individual members of a multidisciplinary team from the point of view of an occupational therapist and to demonstrate everything on a pecific case. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The first chapter outlines the multidisciplinary team in healthcare, describes individual members of this team, as well as their competencies. The following chapter deals with occupational therapy in paediatrics, with play, and with the indication of occupational therapy for various diagnoses. The last chapter is focused on the Department of Paediatrics, on knowledge about the Department of Paediatric Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, as well as on the rehabilitations in this unit. The practical part is based on the study of a specific case and interviews with the individual members of a multidisciplinary team. The aim of the interview was to find out at what level the cooperation is at the Department of Paediatric Anesthesiology and Resuscitation of the University Hospital Ostrava, in which ways the communication is carried out within this team and also whether each healthcare worker knows his/her competencies, and the competencies of his/her colleagues in the multidisciplinary team. The case study was used to show how the cooperation of individual team members at a given workplace works.
