The contribution of The business and cultural centre SAPA to cultural tourism and the development of Vietnamese gastronomy

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá kulturním turismem v Obchodním a kulturním centru Sapa nacházející se v pražské Libuši. Cílem práce je stanovit potenciál areálu v rozvoji vietnamské kultury a gastronomie. Náplň teoretické části tvoří popis pojmů spojených s problematikou, včetně charakteristiky vietnamské kuchyně a tradic. Dále obsahuje představení areálu a služeb nabízené v něm, doprovod historií příchodu vietnamské minority a jejím životem v České republice. Praktická část zkoumá vnímání návštěvníků a nejčastější účel(y) návštěv pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Součástí výzkumu jsou také individuální rozhovory, osobní pozorování a vymezení silných a slabých stránek ovlivňující atraktivitu areálu pomocí SWOT analýzy. V závěrečných kapitolách jsou zhodnoceny hypotézy a posouzení z osobních interakcí spolu s návrhy ke zlepšení do budoucna.

Abstract:

The work deals with cultural tourism in the Business and cultural center Sapa located in Prague-Libuš. The goal of the thesis is to determine the potential of the area in the development of Vietnamese culture and gastronomy. The content of the theoretical part consists of a description of terms connected with the issue, including the characteristics of Vietnamese cuisine and traditions. It also includes a presentation of the area and the services it offers, along with the history of the arrival of the Vietnamese minority and their life in the Czech Republic. The practical part examines the perception of visitors and the most common purpose(s) of visits using a questionnaire survey. The research also includes individual interviews, personal observations and the definition of strengths and weaknesses affecting the attractiveness of the site using a SWOT analysis. In the final chapters, hypotheses and judgments from personal interactions are evaluated along with suggestions for future improvement.
