Práce se věnuje roli knihoven v období 1945-1965 na příkladu Městské knihovny ve Znojmě, která na počátku sledovaného období používala název Veřejná lidová knihovna ve Znojmě, od roku 1951 pak Okresní lidová knihovna ve Znojmě. The work deals with the role of libraries in the period 1945-1965 on the example of the City Library in Znojmo, which at the beginning of the period used the name People's Public Library in Znojmo, since 1951, the District People's Library in Znojmo.
