Development of a software solution supporting the process of business opportunities processing

Abstract:

Význam a přínos práce Klíčovým přínosem práce je návrh, vývoj, nasazení a ověření softwarového řešení pro podporu procesu zpracování obchodních příležitostí. Zaprvé jsou sesbírány a prioritizovány požadavky na digitalizované řešení. Je provedena analýza požadavků a diskutovány varianty digitalizace. Řešení je vyvinuto, nasazeno a je sbírána zpětná vazba v telekomunikační firmě, konkrétně týmu Digital and Cloud solutions expertů, kde zjednodušuje proces zpracování obchodních příležitostí, přiřazování expertů na příležitosti a nabízí přehled o minulé a budoucí utilizaci expertů. V neposlední řadě řešení zamezuje ztrátě a zrychluje předání informací o obchodní příležitosti, čímž zabraňuje frustraci a odchodu zákazníků. Na základě zpětné vazby je realizováno druhé kolo analýzy zohledňující připomínky uživatelů a posun technických znalostí autora řešení. Práce demonstruje digitalizaci procesu za využití low-code nástrojů. Omezení práce Práce má několik omezení. Zaprvé, hlavním cílem není rešerše literatury, tudíž kapitola rešerše je zhotovena v nejvyšší možné kvalitě vzhledem k jejímu účelu. Zadruhé, cílem kapitoly porovnání low-code platforem je co nejdůkladněji porovnat všechny platformy. Není možné v rozsahu diplomové práce provést vyčerpávající porovnání všech low-code platforem, jelikož na trhu jich je nabízeno mnoho a každá má svá specifika. Zatřetí, low-code platformy zjednodušují vývoj software a abstrahují od určitých principů programování. Ze zjednodušení zpravidla plynou omezení, jejichž konkrétní podoba závisí na vybrané low-code platformě.

Abstract The benefit of the thesis The key contribution of the thesis is the design, development, deployment, and verification of a software solution which supports the processing of business opportunities. Firstly, the requirements for a digitalized solution are collected and prioritized. An analysis of the requirements is conducted and variants of the digitalization are discussed. The solution is developed, deployed and feedback is collected in the telecommunications company, specifically in the team of Digital and Cloud solutions experts, where it simplifies the processing of business opportunities, matching experts to business opportunities and offers an overview of past and future utilization of experts. Finally, the solution prevents loss and speeds up the transfer of information connected to business opportunities, thereby preventing customer frustration and churn. Based on the feedback, a second round of analysis is conducted using user feedback and the advancement of the author's technical knowledge. The work demonstrates the digitalization of the process using low-code tools. Limitation of the thesis The thesis has several limitations. Firstly, the main goal of is not to conduct a literature review, therefore the research chapter is prepared in the highest possible quality according to its purpose. Secondly, the goal of the low-code platform comparison chapter is to compare all platforms as thoroughly as possible. It is not within the scope of this thesis to conduct an exhaustive comparison of all low-code platforms, as there are many offered on the market, and each has its own specifics. Thirdly, low-code platforms simplify software development and abstract from certain programming principles. Simplification usually results in limitations, the specific form of which depends on the selected low-code platform.
