Surface treatment of desk boards with higher requirements for the resistance of finished surfaces

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá tématikou povrchové úpravy stolových desek v průmyslové výrobě, konkrétně zkoumá vliv vlastností nátěrového filmu na jeho výslednou odolnost proti působení fyzikálně-mechanických a chemických faktorů. Použité podkladové materiály jsou tvořeny DTD, v jednom případě pak biodeskou. Všechny vzorky byly opatřeny jedním ze tří druhů dýh (DB, JS, OR) a povrchově dokončeny transparentními vodou ředitelnými UV vytvrzovacími nátěrovými hmotami. V některých případech byl povrch upraven vodou ředitelnými mořidly. Nános mořidel byl proveden za použití technologie HVLP stříkání, jednotlivé transparentní laky byly poté nanášeny stříkací technologií Airmix.Po vytvrzení nátěru a aklimatizaci byl povrch každého vzorku posouzen na základě svých vzhledových vlastností a vykazovaných fyzikálně-mechanických a chemických odolností. Tyto vlastnosti byly následně hodnoceny dle příslušných norem. Výsledkem je určení nejvhodnější povrchové úpravy pro stolové desky s vysokými požadavky na odolnost dokončeného povrchu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of surface treatment of table tops in industrial production, specifically examines the influence of the rating film’s properties on its final resistence against the physico-mechanical and chemical factors. The underlying materials used are chipboards and in one case also bio-board. All samples were provided with one of three veneer types (oak, ash, walnut) and finished with transparent water-borne UV curable coatings. In some cases, the surface was treated with water-borne stains. The staining was done using HVLP spraying technology, the individual transparent lacquers were then sprayed with Airmix spraying technology.After curing and acclimatization, the surface of each sample was rewieved on the basis of its visual properties and physico-mechanical and chemical resistance. These properties were subsequently evaluated according to the relevant standards. The outcome is determination of the most suitable surface finish for table tops with high surface finish requirements.
