Pregnancy and Childbirth in Women with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus from the Midwife's Perspective

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je seznámení s problematikou diabetes mellitus 1. typu před otěhotněním, v průběhu těhotenství, při porodu a v šestinedělí. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části zmiňujeme možnosti prekoncepční péče v České republice, důležitost kompenzace diabetu před těhotenstvím, rizika a komplikace, které mohou nastat u žen a komplikace, které mohou nastat u novorozence. V práci jsou zmíněné možnosti léčby diabetu. V závěru teoretické část se zmiňujeme o průběhu porodu, který může být jak císařským řezem, tak spontánní vaginální porod. Praktická část je průzkum, který je tvořen dotazníkovým šetřením a byl určen pro ženy, které mají onemocnění diabetes mellitus 1. typu a které byly těhotné a porodily. Cílem bylo zjistit, jaké komplikace mohou u žen s diabetem mellitus 1. typu nastat během těhotenství a při porodu a také jaké komplikace se mohou vyskytovat u novorozence. Zjistit průběh porodu a kde ženy rodily. A porovnat úroveň kompenzace diabetu před těhotenstvím a po porodu. Nasbíraná data jsou objasněna a zpracována do grafů a tabulek.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the introduction to the issue of type 1 diabetes mellitus before pregnancy, during pregnancy, during childbirth and in the six-week period. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part we mention the possibilities of preconception care in the Czech Republic, the importance of diabetes compensation before pregnancy, the risks and complications that can occur in women and complications that can occur in the newborn. The treatment options for diabetes are mentioned. At the end of the theoretical part, we mention the process of delivery, which can be either by caesarean section or spontaneous vaginal delivery. The practical part is a questionnaire survey, which was designed for women who have type 1 diabetes mellitus and who have been pregnant and given birth. The aim was to find out what complications may occur in women with type 1 diabetes mellitus during pregnancy and childbirth, and also what complications may occur in the newborn. To find out the course of labour and where the women gave birth. And to compare the level of diabetes compensation before pregnancy and after delivery. The data collected is explained and compiled into graphs and tables.
