V teoretické části bakalářské práce je popsána fyziologie, patofyziologie a léčba. Také jsou zde popsány a vysvětleny akutní komplikace u diabetu mellitu. Mezi ně patří hypoglykémie, hyperosmolární hyperglykémie, diabetická a laktátová ketoacidóza. V této části práce je také popsán self-monitoring glykémie včetně jejích moderních metod. Abstract:
In the theoretic part of the bachelor thesis is described the physiology , pathophysiology and treatment. There are described and explained the acute complications of diabetes mellitus too. There belongs hypoglycaemia, hyperosmolar hypoglycaemia, diabetic and lactate ketoacidosis.
