Collingwood's Aesthetics in the Educational Process

Abstract:

Cílem práce je představit Collingwoodovu estetiku a její možnou aplikaci ve výchovně-vzdělávacím procesu, zvláště ve středoškolských předmětech estetické výchovy. Dle autora je umění klíčovým procesem imaginárního objevování, se kterým je spjata hodnota díla v rámci sebepoznání. Podstatnou roli zastávají v jeho estetické teorii emoce i magie. Collingwoodovo pojetí umění i uměleckých děl tudíž podporuje možnou expresivní tvorbu v hodinách estetické výchovy a umožňuje nahlédnout na vnitřní procesy žáka manifestující se v jeho tvorbě. Diplomová práce se opírá o přední autorovu knihu The Principles of Art.

Abstract:

The objective of the work is to introduce Collingwood's aesthetics and its possible application in the educational process, especially in high school subjects of aesthetic education. According to the author, art is a key process of imaginary discovery, which is associated with the value of the work within self-knowledge. In his aesthetic theory, emotions and magic play an important role. Collingwood's conception of art and works of art therefore supports possible expressive work in aesthetic education lessons. At the same time, it provides an insight into the student's internal processes, which are reflected in his work. The diploma thesis is based on the author's leading book The Principles of Art.
