Abstract:

Předložená disertace pojednává o migraci ve dvou sousedních zemích Evropské unie, resp. Schengenského prostoru, s konkrétním zaměřením na obyvatele Polska, kteří se odstěhovali do Česka, a na stejně vymezenou skupinu z Česka, která se rozhodla vycestovat do Polska. Jedná se o migraci dobrovolnou, uskutečněnou po roce 2004 mladými lidmi (věkové rozmezí respondentů této práce bylo 23 až 41 let). Cílem práce bylo nejenom zjištění motivace odjezdu, ale také základních každodenních praktik uskutečňovaných během migrace. Důležitými faktory rozhodujícími o přestěhování se, jak u polských, tak u českých migrantů byla participace v programu Erasmus v cílové zemi, vztah s jejím občanem, nabídka práce anebo touha „zažít dobrodružství“. Bez ohledu na motivaci vycestování vykonávali všichni informátoři transnacionální praktiky, plnili své potřeby a odehrávali sociální role v zemi původu i v cílové zemi. Důležitým prvkem v migrační struktuře je mezinárodní pracovní prostředí. Vzpomínky, vnitřní axiologické příkazy, nejvíce zažité vzorce chování migrantů se vztahují k sociálním konstruktům koncentrující emoce, tedy na nejbližší vztahy, okolní krajinu, zažité praktiky. Tyto lidské zkušenosti následně ovlivňují trajektorie, jež migranti vypracovávali ve své nadnárodní a mezinárodní liminalitě. Nemenší roli plní stereotyp. Přijetí auto- a heterostereotypů většinové společnosti je získáním jednoho z podstatných pilířů obecného společného vědění a také přemístěním etnocentrického „já“ migranta na jím personalizované mapě jiných národů.

Abstract:

The presented dissertation deals with the migration of two neighbouring countries within the European Union, also known as the Schengen Area, with specific focus given to the inhabitants of Poland who decided to relocate to the Czech Republic, and to the similar group of Czechs who made the choice to travel to Poland. The subject matter refers to the voluntary migration of young individuals (the age-based range of this dissertation’s respondents was between 23 and 41 years of age) which took place after the year 2004. The objective of this work is not only to ascertain their motive for leaving, but also the fundamental, everyday practices performed during migration. Significant deciding factors that played a role in both the Czech and Polish citizens who decided to relocate included the Erasmus program within the target countries, a relationship to a citizen within that country, a work offer or desire “to have an adventure”. Setting their motivation to travel aside, every informer underwent transnational practices, met their needs and played a social role in both their country of origin and target country. The international work environment is an important element of the structure of migration. Memories, internal axiological commands, and the most experienced patterns of migrants’ behaviour relate to social constructs concentrating emotions, i.e. to their closest relationships, the surrounding landscape, and experienced practices. These human experiences then influence the trajectory, which the migrants developed in their transnational and international liminality. Stereotypes play the important role as well. The reception of the auto- and heterostereotypes of the societal majority is the acquisition of one of the essential pillars of general common knowledge and also the displacement of the ethnocentric “I” of the migrant on the personalized map of other nations.
