Bullied children in Primary school from sight of their parents.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá šikanou dětí na základních školách očima jejich rodičů. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola seznamuje s pojmem šikana a definuje jej z pohledu několika autorů. Uvádím zde projevy, podle kterých šikanu rozlišíme od škádlení či rovnocenných rvaček. Dále se věnuji fázím šikany a to dle M. Koláře, který je v této oblasti uznávaným a často citovaným odborníkem. Kapitolu zakončuji důsledky šikany, kterými je oběť vystavena nejen po dobu samotného přímého působení šikany, ale v mnohých případech i po zbytek svého života. Druhá kapitola je věnována šikaně na školách a tomu, v čem je specifická. Zajímala mě role oběti, agresora i učitele a jeho přístupu k šikaně. Krátce se zabývám také prevencí šikany na školách. V poslední kapitole teoretické části se zaměřuji na rodiče žáků, kteří mají s šikanou zkušenosti. Věnuji se pohledu rodiče agresora i oběti. Praktická část prezentuje kvantitativní předvýzkum zaměřený na zkušenosti rodičů se šikanou na základní škole, kterou jejich dítě navštěvuje. Předvýzkum jsem zvolila z důvodu potřeby ověření vhodnosti a adekvátnosti zvolených metod a celkového uchopení výzkumu, který bych realizovala na případném magisterském studiu. Hlavním cílem předvýzkumu je zjistit, jaké zkušenosti mají rodiče s šikanou dětí na zkoumané základní škole. Hlavní metodou předvýzkumu je dotazník. Výsledky prezentuji pomocí grafů a komentářů.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis speaks about child bullying in primary schools through the eyes of their parents. Theoretical part is devided into three chapters. The first chapter introduces the term bullying and defines it from several authors? point of view, what excactly bullying is and defined from wide sight of a few authors. Herein, I state indications distinguishing bullying from banter or straightforward fights. Further, I discuss phases of bullying as according to M. Kolar, the recognized and often quoted professional in this field. I summarise this chapter with consequenses of bullying that the victim suffers, not only during the act of bullying itself, but even, in many cases, for the rest of his/her life. The second chapter is devoted to bullying in schools and to what makes it specific. I was interested about the role of the victim, the aggressor and also the teacher and his attitude towards bullying. In short, I deal with prevention of bullying in schools. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, I concentrate on parents of pupils that have experience with bullying. I talk about parent, agressor and victim?s point of view. The practical part presents a quantitative pilot study focused on the experiences of parents of bullying in elementary school that their child attends . Preliminary research I chose because of the need verification of suitability and adequacy of selected methods and overall grasp of research that I conducted on a possible master studies . The main objective of the pilot study is to find out what experience they have parents of bullied children in the surveyed elementary school. The main method is a pilot study questionnaire . I present results using graphs and comments .
