The positon of women in the company and problems with their use in the labor market in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá postavením ženy na českém trhu práce, a to především genderovou nerovností. Nejprve je stručně popsán historický vývoj postavení žen ve společnosti a vývoj přístupu žen k možnosti vzdělávat se. Následně je proveden popis současné situace na trhu práce a analýza aktuálního postavení žen na českém trhu práce. Na základě statistických údajů je zjišťováno, jaké pozice nejčastěji zastávají, jakého nejvyššího vzdělání dosahují a jaká je průměrná zaměstnanost i mzda žen ve srovnání s muži. Zvýšená pozornost je věnována podmínkám, které jsou poskytovány ženám při začleňování žen zpět do pracovního procesu po návratu z rodičovské dovolené a problémům, které ženy musí řešit. Nedílnou součástí práce je výzkumná sonda, jejíž náplní je zjišťování subjektivního názoru žen i mužů na postavení ženy na trhu práce (podmínky, mzdy, případná diskriminace apod.)

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the position of women in the Czech labor market, mainly it focuses on gender inequality. First, it briefly describes the historical development of the role of women in society and the development of women's access to education opportunities. Subsequently, the description of the current situation on the labor market is made and an analysis of the current status of women in the Czech labor market as well. On the basis of the statistical data, it is determined what positions women frequently advocate what their highest education achieved is and what is the average employment and wages for women compared to men. Increased attention is paid to the conditions that are provided to women in is integrating women back into the workforce after returning from parental leave and the problems that women have to deal with. An integral part of the thesis is a research, the goal of which is to determine the subjective opinion of women and men on the status of women in the labor market (conditions, wages, potential discrimination, etc.).
