V diplomové práci je hodnoceno naplňování lidských potřeb u pacientů s popáleninou. Výzkumné šetření je založeno na kvalitativním výzkumu, který byl vypracován prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Analýza a interpretace dat podávají informace o naplňování lidských potřeb u pacientů s popáleninou a prezentují spolupráci s rodinou pacienta. Dále jsou zde uvedeny přínosy práce na jednotce intenzivní péče popálenin do života všeobecných sester a jejich profesní náhled na pacienta s popáleninou.

The diploma thesis evaluates the fulfillment of human needs in patients with burns. The research survey is based on qualitative research developed through semi-structured interviews. Analysis and interpretation of data provide information on the fulfillment of human needs in patients with burns and present cooperation with the families of patients with burns. Furthermore, the thesis encompasses benefits of work in the burn intensive care unit for the lives for general nurses and their professional approach to the patient with burns is presented.
