This dissertation deals with description of hard coal mining in the Czech part of Upper Silesian Basin, its geological construction, it describes overall petrographic properties of coal, furthermore the ways to restoration of places affected by mining and also offers 4 studies which deal with similar topic as this bachelor thesis.
