Principles of fattening calves

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou krmení telat. V literárním přehledu bakalářské práce jsou hodnoceny odlišnosti trávicího traktu telat, problematika mlezivové výživy telat a hlavní zásady krmení telat v profylakčním období a v období mléčné výživy. Je diskutován význam startéru ve výživě telat s ohledem na rozvoj bachorových papil. Pozornost je věnována také faktorům, které ovlivňují ukazatele bachorové fermentace krmiv. V literárním přehledu je věnována velká pozornost vlivu složení krmné diety a podílu startéru na rozvoj trávicího traktu telat. Pokud nejsou dodržovány správné zásady výživy a odchovu telat s ohledem k věku telat a specifikám fyziologie trávení telat, zvyšuje se riziko výskytu infekčních chorob telat, resp. zvýšení ztrát úhynem.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of feeding calves. Differences in the digestive tract of calves, the problematics of colostrum nutrition of calves and the main principles of feeding calves in the prophylaxis period and in the period of milk nutrition are evaluated in the literature review of the bachelor ’s thesis. The importance of the starter in calf nutrition is discussed with regard to the development of rumen papillae. Attention is also paid to factors that affect the indicators of rumen fermentation of feed. In the literature review, great attention is paid to the influence of the composition of the feed diet and the role of the starter on the development of the digestive tract of calves. If the correct principles of nutrition and rearing of calves are not observed with regard to the age of calves and the specifics of the fysiology of digestion of calves, there is an increased risk of infectious diseases of calves or increased death looses.
