Methods of Attribution of Cyber Attacks

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaobírá problematikou atribuce kybernetických útoků. Práce nejprve uvádí do problematiky kyberútoků a s nimi související problematiky atribuce. Následně se věnuje jednotlivým metodám, které k atribuci v technickém smyslu slouží, přičemž u vybraných metod uvádí výhody a nevýhody těchto metod, včetně vhodného programového vybavení. V závěru práce jsou uvedené poznatky demonstrovány na praktickém příkladě.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the matter of attribution of cyberattacks. At the beginning, the thesis introduces the topic of cyberattacks and related issues of attribution. Subsequently, it deals with particular methods that are used for attribution in the technical meaning. For selected attribution methods there are presented lists of the advantages and disadvantages of these methods, including description of software, that is related to these methods. At the end of the thesis, the findings are demonstrated on a practical example.
