The use of imaging methods in the diagnosis of spinal disc herniation

Abstract:

Zobrazovací metody hrají v diagnostice hernií meziobratlových disků nezastupitelnou roli, kterou se tato bakalářská práce pokusí demonstrovat. Pro vyslovení správné diagnózy a indikaci vhodné terapie je však důležitá i korelace s klinikou. Byly stanoveny dva hlavní cíle práce - zjistit, kteří pacienti dle pohlaví a věku herniemi disků nejčastěji trpí, jaké ploténky jsou nejčastěji postiženy a následně zmapovat využití zobrazovacích metod v diagnostice hernií meziobratlových disků. K jejich splnění vede kvantitativní výzkum, kde je stanoveno pět předpokladů a kvalitativní výzkum prostřednictvím vybraných kazuistik, ve kterých jsou hledány odpovědi na čtyři výzkumné otázky.

Abstract:

Radiodiagnostic methods play an irreplaceable role in the diagnosis of spinal disc herniation, which this bachelor thesis will try to demonstrate. Correlation with the clinic is important for making the right diagnosis and indication of appropriate therapy. Two main objectives of the work were identified - to find out what sort of patients by sex and age are most likely to suffer from herniated discs, which discs are most often affected, and then to map using radiodiagnostic methods in the diagnosis of spinal disc herniation. Quantitative research leads to their fulfilment, where five assumptions are set, and qualitative research by means of selected case studies, in which answers to four research questions are sought.
