Zkoumání překážek a hnacích sil ESG v německém Mittelstandu: Kvalitativní analýza strojírenských a strojírenských podniků v Německu.

Abstract:

Tato kvalitativní studie se zabývá zaváděním ESG v německých strojírenských a strojírenských podnicích v oblasti Mittelstand. Pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a obsahové analýzy odhaluje překážky, mezi něž patří problémy v oblasti lidských zdrojů, koncepční nejednoznačnost, právní složitost, nedostatky ve standardizaci, "příliš mnoho a příliš rychle" a byrokracie. Současně identifikuje hnací síly, jako jsou požadavky zákazníků, přilákání talentů a vliv ratingových agentur. Vnitřní motivace, angažovanost vedoucích pracovníků a dodržování právních předpisů se rovněž ukazují jako klíčové hnací síly. Pozoruhodné je, že vliv na zisk a zisk se ukazuje jako dvojí síla, která ovlivňuje jak překážky, tak hnací síly. Studie zavádí model osvědčených postupů zahrnující jasné odpovědnosti, centralizaci a integraci ESG do procesů. Dalšími body jsou začlenění ESG do obchodního případu, zapojení do sítě specifické pro dané odvětví a sladění s populárními ratingovými agenturami. Důsledky se rozšiřují na vlády a podniky a navrhují cílené politiky k překonání překážek a posílení hnacích sil. Tím, že se tento výzkum orientuje v nuancovaném prostředí ESG v rámci Mittelstand, poskytuje strategické poznatky pro udržitelné obchodní postupy.

Abstract:

This qualitative study delves into ESG adoption among German mechanical and plant engineering firms in the Mittelstand. Using semi-structured interviews and content analysis, it uncovers barriers including HR challenges, conceptual ambiguity, legal complexities, standardization gaps, “too much too fast” and bureaucracy. Simultaneously, it identifies driving forces such as customer demands, talent attraction, and rating agency influence. Intrinsic motivation, executive commitment, and regulatory compliance also emerge as pivotal drivers. Notably, P&L impact emerges as a dual-force impacting both barriers and drivers. The study establishes a best practice model involving clear responsibilities, centralization, and ESG integration in processes. Further points are making ESG a business case, engaging in an industry-specific network and aligning with popular rating agencies. Implications extend to governments and businesses, suggesting targeted policies to overcome barriers and strengthen drivers. By navigating the nuanced landscape of ESG within the Mittelstand, this research provides strategic insights for sustainable business practices.
