Predmetom bakalárskej práce je identifikovať verejné financie ako dôležitú súčasť hospodárstva štátu, analyzovať ich súčasný stav v Slovenskej republike, ako sú používané, zhromažďované, prerozdeľované a efekt vytláčania ako dôsledok pôsobenia verejných financií v ekonomike.
