Struktura proteinů (a jiných biochemických sloučenin) je často reprezentována prostřednictvím Protein Data Bank (PDB) formátu. Nedostatkem tohoto formátu je, že neobsahuje informace o vazbách mezi atomy. Tyto informace jsou nicméně důležité z hlediska další analýzy proteinů. The structure of proteins (and other biochemical compounds) is often described using Protein Data Bank file format. The major drawback of the format is the lack of bond information as such information is frequently used in various protein analysis algorithms.
