Fashion and lifestyle of women in Germany and the Czech Republic presented in the ELLE magazine. Selected aspects

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis examines with the help of quantitative content analysis selected aspects of German and Czech fashion magazines ELLE. The aim of the thesis was to compare journals in order to find the matches and the differences in the individual editions. The theoretical part provides a basic overview of information about fashion magazines, magazine ELLE and also deals with topics such as fashion, communication, lifestyle, or mass media. Then were compared in the empirical part selected aspects. Specifically, they were regular magazine's sections, advertisements, topics that appear in articles, and last but not least prices, and the associated ELLE subscriptions.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá za pomocí kvantitativní obsahové analýzy vybrané aspekty německých a českých vydání časopisů ELLE. Cílem práce bylo srovnání časopisů za účelem nalezení shod a rozdílů v jednotlivých vydáních. Teoretická část poskytuje základní přehled o informacích týkajících se módních časopisů, magazínu ELLE a také se zabývá dále tématy, jako jsou móda, její možnosti komunikace, životním stylem, nebo masmédii. V empirické části byly následně porovnávány vybrané aspekty. Konkrétně se jednalo o pravidelné rubriky časopisů, reklamu, témata, která se objevují v článcích a v neposlední řadě také ceny, a s nimi spojené předplatné časopisů ELLE.
