Preparedness of Population for an Emergency in Selected Region

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zacílena na zhodnocení připravenosti obyvatelstva v případě vzniku radiační havárie Jaderné elektrárny Dukovany. Schopnost zvládnout mimořádnou radiační událost a s ní spojené jiné mimořádné události by mělo být pro obyvatele žijící v zóně havarijního plánování jednou ze základních priorit. V diplomové práci je hodnocen současný stav připravenosti občanů a pohled na danou problematiku ze strany obyvatel správních obvodů Moravského Krumlova, Ivančic a Rosic. První část práce pojednává o krizovém řízení, ochraně obyvatelstva a vzdělávání obyvatel k sebeochraně. Dále práce popisuje radiační havárii a způsob, jak v případě jejího vzniku správně reagovat. V druhé části diplomové práce jsou charakterizovány obce s rozšířenou působností Ivančice, Moravský Krumlov a Rosice. Součástí práce je rovněž vyhodnocení anonymního dotazníkového šetření, které je zpracováno formou grafů. V závěru diplomová práce pojednává o možnostech zlepšení ve vzdělávání a připravenosti obyvatel na bezpečné zvládnutí krizových situací.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is aimed at evaluating the preparedness of the population in the event of a radiation accident at the Dukovany nuclear power plant. The ability to handle a radiological emergency and other related emergencies should be one of the basic priorities for residents living in the emergency planning zone. The diploma thesis evaluates the current state of preparedness of citizens and the view of the issue on the part of the inhabitants of the administrative districts of Moravský Krumlov, Ivančice and Rosice. The first part of the thesis deals with crisis management, protection of the population and education of the population for self-protection. Furthermore, thesis describes the radiation accident and how to respond properly in the event of its occurrence. The second part of the diploma thesis characterizes the municipalities with extended powers Ivančice, Moravský Krumlov and Rosice. Part of thesis is also the evaluation of an anonymous questionnaire survey, which is processed in the form of graphs. In conclusion, the thesis deals with the possibilities of improvement in education and the readiness of the population to safely manage crisis situations.
