Elements of Montessori Education at Primary School

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá pedagogikou Marie Montessori, a to zejména jejími hlavními principy a myšlenkami. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak rodiče vnímají tuto pedagogiku a zda souhlasí se základními principy dané koncepce v tom smyslu, že je považují za vhodné pro výchovu a vzdělávání žáků 1. stupně ZŠ. Teoretická část práce se věnuje životu a pedagogice Marie Montessori, dále pojednává o hlavních myšlenkách a principech její pedagogiky. V empirické části jsem postupovala na základě smíšené metodologické strategie a použila jsem výzkumnou metodu dotazníku a rozhovoru. Empirická část práce je věnována právě principům a myšlenkám Montessori pedagogiky a jejich uplatnění v klasických základních školách. Na základě výzkumného šetření jsem zjistila, že vysoké procento rodičů s hlavními myšlenkami a principy Montessori pedagogiky souhlasí a považují jejich zařazení do výuky klasických ZŠ za reálné a vhodné.

Abstract:

My dissertation thesis deals with Marie Montessori pedagogy especially with the main principles and ideas. The main aim of this thesis was to find out how parents conceive this way of pedagogy and if they agree with fundamental principles of this concept and if they consider it as appropriate for education at elementary schools. Theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the life and pedagogy of Marie Montessori and subsequently on main ideas and principles of her pedagogy. In the empirical part I proceeded according to the research methods such as questionnaire and interviews which are methodological strategies. Principles and ideas of Montessori pedagogy and their application in elementary schools are also stated. According to the research I found out that high percentage of parents agree with the main principles and ideas of Montessori pedagogy. They consider this method and its application in elementary school system as real and appropriate.
