Information Society and the Internet

Abstract:

Internet hraje ve společnosti důležitou roli a zároveň patří k nejdůležitějším faktorům pro šíření a získávání informací. Informace vyskytující se elektronické podobě ale sebou nesou výhody i jistá rizika. Cílem práce je tyto výhody a rizika popsat, zhodnotit a doporučit, jak lze v dané situaci postupovat. V první části práce se setkáme s vymezením významu informace, a co to vůbec informace je. Na informaci neexistuje jednotný pohled, proto se zde setkáme s definicemi různých vědních oborů. V druhé části práce je popsáno, jak probíhala informatizace ve společnosti, jaké výhody a nevýhody spojeny s informacemi nové přístupy a technologie přinesly. Cílem informatizace je dospět ke vzniku internetu a následně charakterizovat současnou informační společnost v pár vybraných souvislostech, kdy se společnost stala už závislá na moderních informačních sítích a informacích, těmito sítěmi šířené.

Abstract:

Internet has an important role in the society. Internet is one of the most important factors to transmit and receive information. Information in electronic form has advantages and risks. The aim of this work is to describe the advantages and risks and recommend how to proceed in a given situation. In the first part we will work with demarcation of the importance of information and what information is. There is no a single view on information. Here we meet with the definitions of various disciplines. In the second part of the work is described the computerization of the pros and cons associated with that new approaches and technologies have brought. The aim of the computerization is to come to the emergence of the Internet and characterized the current information society in a few selected contexts, when the society is dependent on modern information networks and information.
