Professional foster care - a new form alternative family care in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na představení současného systému pěstounské péče v České republice. Jsou zde vysvětleny základní pojmy týkající se postojů, pěstounské péče, včetně vysvětlení zprostředkování pěstounské péče a představení Dohod o výkonu pěstounské péče. Jejím cílem je zjistit, jaké postoje k motivaci pěstounů a k systému pěstounské péče mají samotní pracovníci oddělení sociálně-právní ochrany dětí, kteří jsou prvními, kdo s tímto systémem a případnými budoucími pěstouny přichází v reálném životě do styku. Empirická část je řešena formou kvalitativního výzkumu a zabývá se vyhodnocováním dat získaných z rozhovorů s pracovnicemi sociálně-právní ochrany dětí. Rozhovory byly postaveny tak, aby bylo možno získat potřebné informace týkající se postojů pracovnic k pěstounům a výkonu pěstounské péče, dále k získání dat o prožitcích pracovnic vůči pěstounům a v neposlední řadě také informací o změnách, které by pracovnice rády v systému pěstounské péče udělaly. Prezentovány zde budou názory třech pracovnic oddělení sociálně-právní ochrany dětí z okresního města v Ústeckém kraji.

Abstract:

The bachelor's study is aimed at presentation of the current system of foster care in the Czech Republic. It explains basic terms concerning the attitudes, foster care, including the explanation of the mediation of foster care and the introduction of Agreements on the performance of foster care. It aims at ascertaining which attitudes to motivation of foster parents and to a system of foster care have the workers of the social-legal protection of children units who are first confronted with this system and potential future foster parents. The emipirical part has been processed in the form of qualitative research and deals with the evaluation of data obtained from the workers of the social-legal protection of the children. The interviews were conducted so that it was possible to acquire the necessary information concerning the attitudes of the workers to foster parents and the performance of foster care, to the acquisition of the social workers experience towards foster parents and last but not least to information on the changes, which the workers would like to introduce in the system of foster care. Presented are the opinions of three social-legal protection unit workers from the district town in the Ústí nad Labem region.
