Evaluation of the dependence of the chosen wild game on anthropogenic factors in the South Moravian Region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývala problematikou antropogenního vlivu na volně žijící zvěř. Konkrétně se řešil vliv dopravy na zvěř, vliv myslivosti a zemědělství na zvěř, s čím úzce souvisí problematika ÚSES. Byla rozebrána problematika pandemie COVID-19, která ovlivňuje i volně žijící zvěř. Díky Policii ČR a Centru dopravního výzkumu byla zpracována statistika, která se zabývala sraženou zvěří na pozemních komunikacích. Vyhodnocení se týkalo částečně České republiky a částečně území Jihomoravského kraje. Došlo ke srovnání počtu sražené zvěře za posledních deset let, podrobněji pak za poslední dva roky. Bylo zjištěno, jaké druhy zvěře se stávají oběťmi dopravních nehod nejčastěji a byla vytvořena statistika v rámci Jihomoravského kraje, která se zaměřila na počty sražené zvěře v jednotlivých okresech. Ze získaných informací od mysliveckých sdružení a od statistického úřadu bylo vyhodnoceno, jaké byly jarní kmenové stavy zvěře a odstřely v posledních deseti letech. Podrobněji byla vyhodnocena situace v Jihomoravském kraji za rok 2019. Vlastní dotazníkové šetření bylo vytvořeno na základě otázek položených 352 náhodným respondentům. Cílem dotazníku bylo vyhodnotit, jaké mají lidé povědomí v oblasti ochrany volně žijící zvěře. Poslední část byla zaměřena na problematiku pandemie COVID-19. Na základě dat získaných od policie ČR a Centra dopravního výzkumu bylo vytvořeno srovnání nehod vozidel se zvěří na pozemních komunikacích v období rok před pandemií a rok v pandemii. U všech vlivů byly vyhodnoceny pozitivní a negativní dopady na volně žijící zvěř. Nejhorší dopad na stavy zvěře má intenzifikace zemědělství a používání chemických prostředků. Dochází k úbytku některých druhů drobné zvěře, onemocnění zvěře a veřejnost je o problematice zatím málo informována. I přesto, že každým rokem se počty sražené zvěře zvyšují, tak bylo vyhodnoceno, že období pandemie COVID-19 má pozitivní vliv na snížení počtu nehod na pozemních komunikacích. Bylo zjištěno, že negativní antropogenní vlivy v problematice ochrany volně žijící zvěře v současnosti převyšují nad pozitivními.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis dealt with the issue of anthropogenic influence on wildlife. Specifically, the impact of transport on game, the impact of hunting and agriculture on game, which is closely related to the issue of ÚSES, was addressed. The issue of the COVID-19 pandemic, which also affects wildlife, was discussed. Thanks to the Police of the Czech Republic and the Center for Transport Research, statistics were compiled which dealt with fallen game on roads. The evaluation concerned partly the Czech Republic and partly the territory of the South Moravian Region. The number of game killed in the last ten years was compared, and in more detail in the last two years. It was found out which types of game fall victim to traffic accidents most often, and statistics were created within the South Moravian Region, which focused on the numbers of game hit in individual districts. From the information obtained from hunting associations and from the statistical office, it was evaluated what the spring stocks of game were and the number of game shot in the last ten years. The situation in the South Moravian Region for 2019 was evaluated in more detail. The questionnaire survey itself was created on the basis of questions asked 352 random respondents. The aim of the questionnaire was to evaluate how people are aware of the protection of wildlife. The last part was focused on the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on data obtained from the police of the Czech Republic and the Center for Transport Research, a comparison of vehicle accidents with animals on the road in the period one year before the pandemic and the year in the pandemic was created. For all influences, positive and negative impacts on wildlife were evaluated. The worst impact on game stocks is the intensification of agriculture and the use of chemicals. There is a loss of some species of small game, game diseases and the public is still little informed about the issue. Despite the fact that the numbers of game are increasing every year, it was evaluated that the period of the COVID-19 pandemic has a positive effect on reducing the number of road accidents. It was found that the negative anthropogenic influences in the field of wildlife protection currently outweigh the positive ones.
