This thesis deals with issue of knowledge of providing the first aid out of hospital by nonprofessional rescuer, especially in case of high school students. The first part deals with theory of resuscitation and innovations in this field of medicine. Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou prvej pomoci, konkrétne laickou resuscitáciou a jej znalosťou študentmi stredných škôl. V prvej časti sa venuje teórii resuscitácie a novinkám v tejto oblasti. V časti druhej zobrazuje prieskumovou formou úroveň znalostí a schopností študentov vybraných stredných škôl v KPR podľa ERC guidelines 2010.
