Generational perspectives on homosexuality

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jaké postoje mají různé generace populace k homosexualitě. Prostřednictvím této bakalářské práce chci zjistit, jestli vůči homosexualitě existují větší předsudky v závislosti na věku. Práce se zaměřuje na kategorii teenagerů (14-17), mladých dospělých (18-30), dospělých (31-64) a seniorů (65+). První část bakalářské práce je teoretická, a na jejím samém začátku rozebírám pojem homosexualita a s ní související pojmy. Rozdělení homosexuality u mužů a žen, četnost homosexuality. V další části této bakalářské práce se stručně zabývám historií homosexuality. Také je zde obsažena problematika homosexuálních vztahů a výchova dětí homosexuálními páry. V další kapitole je definován pojem generace, a analýza věkových kategorií. Popsány jsou zde fáze pubescence, adolescence, dospělosti a stáří. Třetí kapitola se soustředí na definování pojmu postoje, jaké jsou složky postojů, jejich funkce, jak tyto postoje vznikají a prostřednictvím čeho je možné je měnit. Poslední kapitola shrnuje dosavadní výzkumy postojů k homosexualitě. Empirická část je věnována výzkumu, jak čeští pubescenti, adolescenti, dospělí a senioři nahlíží na problém homosexuality, registrovaného partnerství a adopce. Výzkum bude proveden formou kvantitativní metodologie za pomocí anonymního dotazníkového šetření. Zaměřím se především na obyvatele České republiky. Dotazník bude zveřejněný na stránce survio.cz, a výběr vzorku bude prostřednictvím metody sněhové koule.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out what attitudes different generations of the population have towards homosexuality. Through this bachelor's thesis, I want to learn and at the same time inform whether there are greater prejudices against homosexuality depending on age. The work focuses on the category of teenagers (14-17), young adults (18-30), adults (31-64) and seniors (65+). The first part of the bachelor's thesis is theoretical, and at the very beginning I discuss the concept of homosexuality and other basic concepts related to it, such as the distribution of homosexuality in men and women or the frequency of homosexuality. In the next part of this bachelor thesis I briefly deal with the history of homosexuality. It also covers the issue of homosexual relationships and the upbringing of children by homosexual couples. The next chapter defines the concept of generation, and analysis of age categories. The stages of pubescence, adolescence, adulthood and old age are described here. The third chapter focuses on defining the concept of attitudes, what are the components of attitudes, their functions, how these attitudes arise and through which it is possible to change them. The last chapter summarizes previous research on attitudes to homosexuality. The empirical part is the evaluation of research on how Czech pubescents, adolescents, adults and seniors view the problem of homosexuality, registered partnership and adoption. The research will be carried out in the form of a quantitative methodology using an anonymous questionnaire survey. I will focus mainly on the inhabitants of Ostrava. The questionnaire will be published on the survio.cz website, and respondents will be selected using the snowball method.
