The presented thesis is an analysis of the novel Nebe pod Berlínem by a contemporary Czech author Jaroslav Rudis, and its German translation by Eva Profousova. The theoretical part of the text focuses primarily on the theory of translation. Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou románu Nebe pod Berlínem současného českého spisovatele Jaroslava Rudiše a německým překladem díla od Evy Profousové. Teoretická část práce se primárně zaměřuje na teorii překladu. Jedná se o definici základních translatologických pojmů, teorii skoposu, problematiku ekvivalence.
