The influence of temperament on simple and choice reaction time during visual stimulation in physical education student

Abstract:

V diplomové práci je u skupiny studujících obor tělesná výchova a sport změřena hladina jednoduché a složité reakční doby a zjištěn temperament jedinců. Cílem je ověřit vztah mezi temperamentem a úrovní jednoduché a složité reakční doby u studentů s oborem tělesná výchova. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 41 studentů KTVS PF UJEP v průměrném věku 23 1,8 let. Úroveň reakční doby byla měřena zařízením Fitro Reaction a Fitro Agility a pro zjištění temperamentu byl použit Eysenckův dotazník EPQ-R, který byl složen ze 106 otázek. Bude sledována závislost mezi jednotlivými testy. Z výzkumného šetření vyplývá, že nevyšla žádá závislost mezi temperamentem a reakční dobou. I přesto by toto téma mělo být předmětem zájmu dalších výzkumníků, kteří by při využití většího počtu testovaných osob mohli generalizovat výsledky svých studií. A zároveň je důležité se věnovat této problematice, protože právě temperament, který může souviset s úrovní reakční doby, může ovlivňovat výkon v celé řadě sportovních disciplín, například běh, fotbal, hokej nebo tenis.

Abstract:

In the diploma thesis, the level of simple and complex reaction time was measured for a group of students studying physical education and sport and temperament of these individuals was determined. The aim is to verify the relationship between a temperament and the level of simple and complex reaction time in students majoring in physical education. The research group consisted of 41 students of KTVS PF UJEP with an average age of 23 ? 1.8 years. The level of reaction time was measured with the Fitro Reaction and Fitro Agility devices and Eysenck's EPQ-R questionnaire, which consisted of 106 questions which were used to determine these temperaments. The dependency between individual tests will be monitored. The research shows that the dependence between temperament and reaction time did not come out. Even so this topic should be of interest to other researchers who could generalize the results of their studies by using a larger number of people which are being tested. At the same time it is important to address this issue because it is specifically temperament which can be related to the level of reaction time, that can influence performance in a wide range of sports disciplines for example, running, football, hockey or tennis.
