Abstract:

Cílem práce je představit koncept talent managementu, demonstrovat jeho praktické využití a na základě empirických poznatků vytvořit následné návrhy, které by zlepšily fungování vybraných organizací. Přes enormní celosvětovou koncentraci na tento koncept bylo zjištěno, že jeho použití v odvětví vzdělávací chybí; a proto hlavním tématem je prozkoumat její využití a globální pandemický dopad na procesy společností v tomto sektoru. Pro ucelený pohled na tuto problematiku je práce rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí: literární rešerše a analytická částí. První část je věnována teoretickým poznatkům dané problematiky. Tato část vysvětluje všechny koncepty, předpoklady, nástroje a procesy související s talent management. Druhá část je zaměřena na aplikaci získaných informací a interpretaci využití jednotlivých aktivit na reálných příkladech ve vzdělávacím sektoru. Data byla získána prostřednictvím kvalitního výzkumu prováděním polo-strukturovaných rozhovorů se zástupci analyzovaných organizací. Nakonec závěry jsou shrnuty za účelem vysvětlení současného stavu organizací, jsou doporučeny návrhy na zlepšení a je učiněn závěr. Výsledky ukazují, že všechny organizace, bez ohledu na velikost nebo odvětví, uplatňují talent management do určité míry, což jen prokázalo význam tohoto nástroje pro přežité ve vysoce konkurenčním prostředí. Navíc se potvrdilo, že jednotlivé aktivity byly v náročných dobách, jako je současná situace, posíleny. Důsledky této práce lze uplatnit ve smyslu propojení koncepce talent managementu a analyzovaného odvětví, kde mohou být začleněny do praxe s přínosem pro rozvoj společnosti. Zjištění výzkumu proto mohou sloužit podnikatelům jako komplexnější teoretický a praktický průvodce implementací talent managementu nebo zlepšení jeho postupů.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to introduce the concept of talent management, demonstrate its practical use, and, based on empirical findings, create subsequent suggestions which would improve the functioning of selected organizations. Despite an enormous concentration on this concept worldwide, its use was found to be absent in the education industry; therefore, the thesis’s main topic is to explore its use and the impact of the global pandemic on the companies’ processes in this sector. To provide a comprehensive view of this issue, the thesis is divided into two main parts: the literature review and the analytical part. The former is devoted to theoretical knowledge of the issue. This section explains all concepts, prerequisites, tools, and processes related to talent management. The latter focuses on applying the obtained information and interpretation of using individual activities on real examples in the education sector. Data were obtained through qualitative research by conducting semi-structured interviews with concerned employees. Lastly, the findings are summarized to clarify the organizations’ current state, suggestions for improvement measures are recommended, and the conclusion is made. The results show that all companies, irrespective of size or industry, adopt talent management to some extent, which only proves the significance of this tool to survive in a highly competitive environment. Moreover, it has been confirmed that individual activities have been enhanced in challenging times like the current situation. The implications of this work can be applied in terms of the connection of the use of the talent management concept and the analysed industry, where it can be incorporated in practice with a contribution to business growth. Therefore, the research findings can serve entrepreneurs as a more comprehensive theoretical and practical guide for talent management implementation or its practice improvements.
