Stance and movement of the libero during the defensive phase in volleyball

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na postoj a pohyb libera při obranné fázi ve volejbale. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda existují rozdíly v úspěšnosti obranných zákroků vyjádřené jejich četností v reálném utkání v závislosti na postavení libera, míče a útočícího hráče při obraně v poli. Sledovali jsme celkem 4 libera pomocí kamerových záběrů, ze kterých jsme vyhodnocovali, jestli libero vyřešilo obranné situace úspěšně nebo neúspěšně. Z konečných výsledků jsme nezjistili žádné významné statistické rozdíly v úspěšnosti obranných zákroku libera v poli.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the position and movement of the libero during the defensive phase in volleyball. The main aim of the thesis was to find out whether there are differences in the success rate of defensive interventions expressed by their frequency in a real match depending on the position of the libero, the ball and the attacking player in the field. We monitored a total of 4 liberos using camera footage, from which we evaluated whether the libero solved the defensive situation successfully or unsuccessfully. From the final results, we found no significant statistical differences in the success rate of the libero's defensive interventions in the field.
