Abstract:
This thesis describes and then compares the concept of language and language sign of Ferdinand de Saussure and William Dwight Whitney. It is focused mainly on origin and development of language, relation of language and thought, relation of language and society, structure of language, differentiation of language, language sign, its character, features and alternations.
Abstract:
V tejto práci popisujem a následne zrovnávam poňatie jazyka a jazykového znaku Ferdinandom de Saussurom a Williamom Dwight Whitneyem. Jednotlivé kapitoly sú zamerané hlavne na vznik a vývoj jazyka, vzťah jazyka a myslenia, vzťah jazyka a spoločnosti, jazykovú štruktúru, diferenciáciu jazyka, ďalej na jazykový znak, jeho charakter, vlastnosti a zmeny.
