Tax write-off and book depreciation and their influence on the economic result

Abstract:

V mé bakalářské práci se zabývám tím, co je to dlouhodobý majetek, jak ho členíme a jak ho můžeme odpisovat. V teoretické části jsou blíže popsány metody, které můžeme použít při účetním odpisování a metody, které jsou zákonem určeny pro daňové odpisování. Zatímco u účetních odpisů si účetní jednotka může sama určit dobu odpisování podle toho, jak rychle se předpokládá, že se bude daný majetek opotřebovávat, tak u daňových odpisů je tomu jinak. Doba odpisování i koeficienty odpisování jsou stanoveny zákonem a účetní jednotky mají právo, nikoliv povinnost je využívat. V závěru teoretické části je popsán vliv daňových a účetních odpisů na hospodářský výsledek. V praktické části jsou pak vypracovány tři možné varianty odpisování dlouhodobého majetku společnosti Z. J. consulting s. r. o. a v závěru je vybrána z pohledu společnosti ta nejvýhodnější.

Abstract:

In my bachelor theses I am dealing with the question of what long-term assets is, how we classify it and how we depreciate it. In the theoretical part the methods for accounting depreciation and methods given by the law for tax depreciation are explained closely. While by accounting depreciation the accounting entity can determine its own period of depreciation according to how fast it is assumed that the certain property is used up , for tax depreciation it is different. The period of depreciation as well as the coefficients of depreciation are determined by law and the accounting entities have the right but not the duty to make use of it. At the end of the theoretical part the influence of tax and accounting depreciation on economic result is explained. In the practical part I worked out three possible variaties of the depreciation of long-term property of Z. J. consulting Ltd. and at the conclusion the best one is selected.
