Development potential of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area

Abstract:

Chráněná krajinná oblast Brdy byla dlouhou dobu vyňata z civilního využívání, což z této oblasti udělalo nedostupný region, který spravovala pouze armáda. To platilo až do roku 2016, kdy byla vyhlášena Chráněná krajinná oblast Brdy. Byla tak zpřístupněna tato jedinečná přírodní a turisticky atraktivní oblast, která v sobě skýtá veliký potenciál. Cílem práce bylo tento potenciál definovat na základě prováděných rozhovorů se zástupci přilehlých obcí Plzeňského kraje a také se zástupci podnikatelů, kteří jsou každodenními účastníky života této destinace. Autor práce definoval 4 základní rozvojové potenciály, mezi které zařadil potenciál cestovního ruchu, potenciál urbanistického rozvoje a s ním související sociální vybavenost, propagace a využití přírodního potenciálu Chráněné krajinné oblasti Brdy a potenciál rozvoje místních podnikatelů. Dle názoru autora skýtá tato oblast jedinečný rozvojový potenciál, který se bude během následujících let velice rychle rozvíjet. Je nezbytná kooperace všech aktérů, kteří se do rozvoje této oblasti angažují.

Abstract:

The Brdy Protected landscape area has been exempted from civilian use for a long time what make it an inaccessible region that was managed by the military alone. This was valid until 2016, when the Brdy Protected landscape area was declared. In this way, this unique natural and attractive tourist area was opened, offering great potential. The aim of this work was to define this potential on the basis of interviews with representatives of adjacent municipalities of the Pilsen Region and also with representatives of entrepreneurs who are daily participants in the life of this destination. The author defined four basic development potentials, including the potential of tourism, the potential of urban development and the related social amenities, promotion and use of the natural potential of the Brdy Protected landscape area and the potential for development of local entrepreneurs. According to the author, this area offers a unique development potential that will develop very rapidly over the coming years. Cooperation of all actors involved in the development of this area is necessary.
