Sartre's Conception of Existentialism as Humanism

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá Sartrovým pojetím existencialismu jako humanismu. Cílem bakalářské práce je ukázat, zda je Sartrův existencialismus skutečně humanismem. Nejprve se zaměříme na existencialismus obecně. V další části práce se pak budeme věnovat konkrétně existencialismu Sartra. V poslední části práce si podle Sartra rozdělíme humanismus na klasický a existencialistický. Oba dva typy humanismu porovnáme a na základě této komparace poté dojdeme k závěru, zda lze považovat Sartrův existencialismus za humanismus.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis is devoted to the concept of Sartre's existentialism as humanism. The aim of the thesis is to show whether Sartre's existentialism actually is humanism. The first part focuses on existentialism in general. Special attention is paid to the Sartre's existentialism in the second part. In the last part, humanism is divided according to Sartre into the classical and existentialist types. Both of them are compared and based on this comparison the work comes to the conclusion whether Sartre's existentialism can be considered as humanism.
