Food Security in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

V práci je definována potravinová bezpečnost v konceptu lidské bezpečnosti a v agendě OSN, EU a ČR. Problematika potravinové bezpečnosti je ukázána na případové studii zabývající se pšenicí a základními potravinami vyrábějících se z pšenice chleba a pečiva. Práce analyzuje čtyři pilíře potravinové bezpečnosti dostupnost potravin, přístup k potravinám, využití potravin a stabilitu. K tomuto účelu jsou využity veřejně dostupné statistické údaje o pšenici, chlebu a pečivu, zobrazené na různorodých časových řadách mezi obdobím 19892017, a analýza aktérů a jejich agendy v systému bezpečnosti potravin.

Abstract:

In the thesis food security is defined by using concept of the human security in agenda of the UN, the EU and the Czech Republic. The problematics of the food security is shown on the case study of wheat and basic food made of wheat bread and pastry. The thesis analyses four pillars of the food security food availability, access to food, utilization of food and stability. For this purpose, are used publicly available statistics about wheat, bread and pastry, displayed on varied time series from 1989 to 2017, and analysis of actors and its agenda in the food safety system.
