This master’s thesis deals with corruption and corruption risks in public procurement. It lists the causes of corruption as such, considering why public procurement is so vulnerable to corruption deals. Táto práca sa zaoberá korupciou a korupčným jednaním vo verejnom obstarávaní. Práca vymenováva príčiny vzniku korupcie ako takej, úvahy prečo je práve verejné obstarávanie tak náchylné na korupčné jednanie, stručnú charakteristiku zadávania verejných zákaziek za účelom lepšieho pochopenia manipulačných a korupčných rizík v tomto procese.
