Abstract:
This thesis deals with the research of different methods of grammar teaching. Special emphasis is put on the past tense, which was chosen as a grammar item to be analyzed in the practical part. The purpose of this thesis is to explore a selected number of textbooks on the market for the target group of adults and the teaching and learning at a language school.

Tato práce se zabývá výzkumem různých metod výuky gramatiky, a to konkrétně u dospělých studentů. Důraz byl dán na minulý čas, který byl zvolen jako gramatická oblast pro tento výzkum. Cílem této práce bylo prozkoumat vybrané množství učebnic dostupných na trhu a zaměřených na výuku dospělých studentů.
