Accessibility and usage potential of public greenery in the city district Mariánské Hory

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje městským zeleným plochám v jednom z městských obvodů Ostravy, a to v Mariánských Horách a Hulvácích. Bakalářská práce se přesněji zabývá dostupností městských zelených ploch pro obyvatele Mariánských Hor a Hulváků s kilometrovým okolím okolo administrativní hranice daného městského obvodu. Dostupnost městské zeleně začíná narůstat na své důležitosti v územním plánování, jelikož je nedílnou součástí nejen lidských životů. S akurátním množstvím a rozmístěním poskytují městské zelené plochy spoustu benefitů pro obyvatele, avšak nedostatek městských zelených ploch může mít širokou škálu nežádoucích dopadů. Mezi tyto nežádoucí dopady patří městské tepelné ostrovy, na které navazuje tepelný stres lidí i živočichů. Znečištěné ovzduší, suchý vzduch, přehřívání povrchu a další. Terénním průzkumem a následnými analýzami v ArcGIS Pro bylo zjištěno, že v městském obvodu Mariánské Hory a Hulváky má 97 % obyvatel dostupnou městskou zelenou plochu, do 500 metru od svého bydliště, ve které mohou trávit svůj čas. Zbylé tři procenta obyvatel, bohužel, žijí v bezprostřední blízkosti průmyslu, kde je výskyt zeleně minimální. Do celkové výsledku práce je zahrnuta pasportizace zeleně a mobiliáře v plochách s rekreační a pobytovou funkcí, k těmto plochám je vypočítána dostupnost a spádovost, jejich přístupnost, prostupnost a biodiverzita.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to urban green spaces in one of the city districts of Ostrava, in the Mariánské Hory and Hulváky. The bachelor thesis deals more precisely with the accessibility of urban green spaces for the inhabitants of Mariánské Hory and Hulváky with a kilometre surrounding around the administrative boundary of a given urban district. The accessibility of urban greenery is starting to grow in importance in land use planning, as it is an integral part not only of people's lives. With accuracies and distribution, urban green spaces provide plenty of benefits for residents, but the lack of urban green spaces can have a wide range of undesirable impacts. These undesirable impacts include urban heat islands, which are followed by heat stress in both humans and animals. Air pollution, dry air, surface overheating and more. A field survey and follow-up analyses in ArcGIS Pro found that in the urban district of Mariánské Hory and Hulváky, 97% of residents have an available urban green space, within 500 metres of their residence, in which they can spend their time. Unfortunately, the other three per cent of the population live in the immediate vicinity of the industry, where the occurrence of greenery is minimal. Included in the overall result of the work is the pasportization of greenery and mobiliare in areas with recreational and residential function, these areas are calculated for availability and, accessibility, permeability and biodiversity.
