The Presence of Nature and Animals in the Selection of Works of Luis Sepúlveda

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is the familiarization with the personality of Luis Sepúlveda, and the usage of literary motifs of nature and animals in his work. The study focuses on the analyses of five of his novels with particular attention to mentioned motifs. Moreover, this thesis presents possibilities of working with these novels in the lessons of the Spanish language on high schools. In consideration of the characteristics of given novels, the theoretical part concentrates on the description of fables as a literary genre. In the same way, it describes the usage of motifs of animals in world literature. The practical part presents complex analyses of the novels and demonstrates the possible implementation of literature in the classes of Spanish through created didactic materials. The outcomes of this work are the detailed description of literary motifs of nature and animals, the analyses of chosen novels and the demonstration of didactic materials.

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je představení osobnosti spisovatele Luise Sepúlvedy a užití literárních motivů přírody a zvířat v jeho tvorbě. Práce se zaměřuje na analýzu pěti z jeho románů, ve kterých jsou studovány především zmíněné motivy. Dále také diplomová práce představí možnosti využití jeho díla ve výuce španělštiny na středních školách. Vzhledem k povaze rozebíraných románů se teoretická část práce zaměřuje na popis a typické znaky bajek, jako literárního druhu a stejně tak popisuje využití motivů zvířat ve světové literatuře. V praktické části textu se analyzovala vybraná díla a skrze vytvoření několika pracovních listů byla demonstrována možná práce s těmito romány v hodinách španělštiny na středních školách. Výsledkem práce je popsání literárních motivů přírody a zvířat ve světové literatuře, analýza vybraných děl a demonstrace pracovních listů.
