Motivation for Prosocial Behavior in Children of Younger School Age

Abstract:

Klíčovým tématem diplomové práce je oblast motivace k prosociálnímu chování dětí mladšího školního věku. V teoretické části jsme se nejprve zaměřili na determinaci procesu motivace a s ním spjatých pojmů, jako jsou motivy, potřeby, zájmy, postoje a hodnoty. Druhá kapitola prostřednictvím vybraných teorií vymezuje termín prosociální chování. Pozornost je rovněž věnována druhům prosociálního chování a termínům morálka, empatie a altruismus. Obě kapitoly neopomíjejí pohlížet na oblasti, kterým jsou věnovány, i v souvislosti s vývojovým obdobím mladšího školního věku. V závěrečné kapitole je popsán Program podpory prosociálního chování dětí navštěvujících školní družinu, který byl sestaven a využit jako nástroj k rozvoji a utužování prosociálního chování. Praktická část je věnována vlivu výše zmíněného Programu podpory prosociálního chování dětí navštěvujících školní družinu na míru vnitřní a vnější motivace k prosociálnímu chování. Jako hlavní cíl výzkumu bylo stanoveno zjišťování, zda existuje významný rozdíl v míře vnitřní a vnější motivace k prosociálnímu chování u experimentální a kontrolní skupiny dětí mladšího školního věku, čehož bude dosaženo využitím metody pedagogického experimentu.

Abstract:

This diploma theses deals with the motivation to the prosocial behaviour of younger school aged children. In the theoretical part we firstly focused on the determination of the motivation process as well as the connected terms like motives, needs, interests, attitudes and values. The second chapter defines the term prosocial behaviour through chosen theories. The attention has also been drawn to different types of prosocial behaviour and the terms like morality, empathy and altruism. Both chapters do not leave out the process of development of younger schooled aged children. The last chapter describes the "Program supporting the prosocial behaviour of children attending the school club" which was set up and used as the tool to develop and strengthen the prosocial behaviour. The experimental part of this theses presents the influence of the "Program supporting the prosocial behaviour of children attending the school club" on the degree on inner and outer motivation to prosocial behaviour. As the main objective of the reseach was defined the recognition whether exists the signigicant difference in the extend of inner and outer motivation to the prosocial behaviour by the experimental and control group of younger aged school children. There has been used a method of pedagagogical experiment.
