Existuje řada publikovaných geologických a geochronologických dat, které popisují stratigrafické sekvence z jednotlivých segmentů Hlavního Etiopského Riftu (Main Ethiopian Rift). There is a lot of geological and geochronological data of stratigraphic sequences from many parts of the Main Ethiopian Rift, but a comprehensive assessment is missing.
