Abstract:

V letech 2006 a 2009 byla studována pomocí padacích pastí taxocenóza brouků v dutinách hlavatých vrb na malé izolované lokalitě, Vojkovické vrbovně, na jižní Moravě. Metodou zpětného ochytu byla odhadnuta velikost zdejší populace páchníka hnědého (Osmoderma barnabita). Byla zkoumána vazba druhů brouků mezi sebou a vliv proměnných prostředí na strukturu společenstva dutin a na počet saproxylických druhů. Byla analyzována odpověď druhů na konkrétní proměnné prostředí. Byla posuzována role páchníka jako indikátoru bohatosti saproxylických druhů v jednotlivých stromových dutinách. Velikost populace páchníka hnědého byla odhadnuta v roce 2006 na přibližně 800 jedinců, v roce 2009 potom na méně než 350 jedinců. Ordinační analýzy prokázaly, že významný vliv na strukturu společenstva měla výška otvoru dutiny nad zemí a zdravotní stav stromu, přičemž počet saproxylických druhů rostl se zvětšujícím se průměrem kmene, vzdáleností otvoru dutiny od země a se zhoršujícím se stavem stromu. Nebylo potvrzeno, že by druh O. barnabita byl dobrým indikátorem bohatosti saproxylických druhů v dutinách. Počet saproxylických druhů byl nižší ve stromech osídlených druhem O. barnabita nebo byl na přítomnosti tohoto druhu ve stromě nezávislý. Žádný druh nebyl pozitivně vázán na výskyt páchníka ve stromech, naopak dva druhy se vyskytovaly hlavně v dutinách neosídlených páchníkem hnědým.

Abstract:

On the beetle fauna of tree cavities at Vojkovická vrbovna and on the population of the hermit beetle (Osmoderma barnabita) at this locality. In the summer 2006 and 2009, the beetle assemblage in cavities of pollard willows was studied by means of pitfall traps at the small, isolated site, Vojkovická vrbovna, in South Moravia (Czech Republic). The population size of the hermit beetle (Osmoderma barnabita) was estimated using the mark-recapture method. The association between the beetle species and the effect of environmental variables on the community structure and on the number of saproxylic beetles were analysed. The response of the species to individual variables was analysed and the role of O. barnabita as an indicator of saproxylic species richness on the between-tree level was assessed. The population size of O. barnabita was estimated to be about 800 individuals in 2006, and less than 350 individuals in 2009. Ordination analyses revealed that the structure of the community was affected mainly by the height of the cavity entrance above ground level and the tree’s health state, with the number of saproxylic beetles increasing with increasing tree diameter, height of the cavity entrance above ground and the tree’s deteriorating health state. The role of O. barnabita as a good indicator of saproxylic species richness on the between-tree level was not confirmed. The saproxylic beetle richness was lower in the trees inhabited by O. barnabita or independent of the species’ presence in the tree. No species was positively associated with O. barnabita. On the contrary, two of the species occurred predominantly in trees not inhabited by the beetle.
